Nineteen of the Russian's twenty-one victories have been earned on hard surfaces
A revitalized Daniil Medvedev secured his maiden title for nearly 30 months with success over Corentin Moutet in the competition title decider.
The Russian, a ex- top-ranked player, has experienced a difficult season, winning just one match at the major tournaments and experiencing a difficult moment at the American major.
The player's unpredictability on the tennis tour - and struggles with his service game in specific - caused him exiting of the elite rankings and ultimately splitting with former mentor Cervara.
Now training with Johansson and Goetzke, Medvedev has consistently improved in the recent weeks - peaking in a closely contested competitive triumph over opponent Moutet.
It is his maiden title following the 2023 Rome Masters and maiden on a hard surface since spring of 2023.
Success also indicates he has achieved 21 championships at twenty-one various tournaments.
"It's the first time I am participating in a competition with my children simultaneously, so to get a title is especially meaningful," said ranked player Medvedev.
"This title is in tribute of my second daughter her name, because the initial championship I got when my child Alisa was delivered was for her."
Medvedev, the 2021 US Open champion, had failed in his last six finals, comprising in the German tournament previously this season.
His defensive approach and frequent reactions on the tennis court had caused some to doubt if his skill to compete at the top level was over.
However the athlete has made changes in recent weeks, attempting to come to the net and perform aggressively, supported by an improved serving game.
Medvedev came back from a disadvantage in the opening set against the challenging Moutet, securing 4 of the concluding five exchanges to take the lead.
Both players exchanged breaks in the second set before Moutet, striving for his maiden ATP Tour victory, took control to force a decider.
He defended 4 early-game opportunities in a tight deciding set before Medvedev won the break to that score to secure the win.
Suitably, Medvedev secured the title with a rally at the net, with his opponent unable to handle a return after over two and a half hours.
