In November 2018, Steve Bannon, previously a top aide to Donald Trump, visited the UK to deliver a address at the Oxford Union.

The speech was disrupted by hundreds of protesters, and Bannon, scheduled to board a flight that night, informed Jeffrey Epstein in an message: "Protesters delayed speech I doubt I can catch the flight we r enroute to heathrow".

Epstein replied: "That. Is a Gulf Air that leaves at 950 with a layover in Bahrain". Bannon answered: "You are an amazing helper".

These exchanges were released on Wednesday together with more than 20,000 pages from the estate of Epstein, the deceased convicted sex offender.

The disclosure by the House oversight committee includes an text conversation where Bannon's identity is redacted. Media outlets has been able to confirm his involvement by cross-referencing the dates, events, and places referenced.

For instance, Epstein discusses arranging a jet from the UK for the unnamed individual in the chat, and commends their "Oxford speech". Bannon took part in the News Xchange conference on November 14, and gave the speech at the Oxford Union two days later.

Bannon, who faces no allegations of any wrongdoing, declined to comment on the inquiry.

Epstein's Assurance to Bannon

Bannon served as Trump's closest aides in the run up to the 2016 election and in the early days of his presidency, but resigned from the White House in August 2017.

He has admitted he was producing a documentary about Epstein before his passing and allegedly has around 15 hours of recordings. In a recording of his podcast recently, he said: "We plan to release the film, the five-part series, in the coming year - at the start of next year."

But the recently disclosed materials indicate Bannon's relationship with Epstein went further than documenting his life, with the convicted paedophile at times appearing to serve like a personal assistant.

A short time before the exchange in which Epstein appeared to have booked a charter jet for Bannon, Epstein said: "what's it like to have the most highly paid travel agent in history ".

Bannon expressed gratitude: "U r pretty good assistant", to which Epstein replied "Therapies. Not Included".

Discussing a trip to "Abu Dhabi" in a separate text, Epstein told Bannon: "I'll make sure you're taken care of."

UK Politics Mentioned in Messages

The published messages also show Bannon and Epstein talking about UK politics in that year.

Earlier on the day of his address at the Oxford Union, Bannon messaged Epstein: "I've gotten pulled into the EU exit issue this day with Nigel, Boris and Mogg."

Then, in what appears to be a reference to the UK prime minister, the embattled UK prime minister at the period, he continued: "They are attempting to proceed. May soon…"

Epstein suggested Bannon: "I think staying as long as you can uk. Best-- so people get the dedication of your follow-up."

Shortly after, Epstein asked: "Will Theresa May remain in power". Bannon answered: "I don't see how however the guys over here have no balls" and noted "Johnson ; Michael Gove; Rees Mogg; Davis - someone has to step up".

May was finally toppled in May 2019 after withstanding multiple attempts of no confidence in December 2018.

A representative for Reform UK informed the BBC: "Nigel Farage has not been in a gathering with Bannon, Rees-Mogg and Boris Johnson." And there is no evidence such a meeting took place.

The Congress will decide soon on whether the Department of Justice should release all its files related to its investigation into Epstein, who died in prison in 2019.

Attention in Epstein's relationships with powerful figures was reignited this week after the release of over 20,000 pages from his archives.

Some of those mentioned the former president, who has repeatedly denied any wrongdoing. The president was a acquaintance of Epstein's for years, but claims they fell out in the early 2000s, two years before Epstein was first arrested.
